Please note that this is the only space where the ticket reselling/trading process can be validated by the IBF team. Also: Tickets can only be resold at FACE VALUE (price of ticket + taxes). You are free to gift your tickets elsewhere, but we can't verify the legitimacy of tickets anywehere else but here. Therefore, we are not responsible for ticket theft or scams you may experience outside of this forum. To resell / trade, please follow the guidelines below: Creating Forum Post to Sell Ticket(s) Start by adding a title to your forum post. Something like "Selling 2 Celestial Tickets" works great. In the forum post, you can explain why you are reselling your tickets, or hoping to transfer or trade tickets with someone. Please add the full name on the order of tickets. This helps the IBF team verify that your ticket actually exists. For example, the format of your post should appear like this: To prevent others from stealing your ticket(s), please do not upload any images or screenshots of your order/ticket numbers, or the QR code, to the post. All posts will be reviewed and approved before they are published to the forum. Be sure to add your post to the "Reselling/Trading" category. If your post is not approved, we will contact you via email and let you know what you should change to resubmit your forum post. Purchasing Tickets All forum posts are approved/denied by IBF team members. Our team will verify that their ticket exists, so it is safe to comment under the post and make a request for the ticket. It is best to add your email to the comment. For example: "I'd love to buy those tickets from you! My email is IBFticketbuyer@rocket.com. Thanks!" They will reach out to you directly if they are willing to sell their ticket to you. If they email you, discuss the best method to send payment for the tickets. After, they will need to forward the tickets to you. This is an email they should have received after purchasing the tickets from the IBF website. The tickets should be attached as a PDF. If you will be selling two tickets within the same PDF to different people, we suggest sending screenshots of the different tickets to each of the different buyers. Make sure the QR code is visible. The buyer can either print out the tickets or have the QR code ready to be scanned on your phone at registration. Recommended money transfer apps: Venmo, CashApp, Zelle, PayPal. Keep in mind that PayPal has a fee. Contacting Support IBF does not handle the exchange of payment for tickets that are being resold. Since IBF attendee badges do not include names, it is okay if you attend with a ticket in someone else's name. Tickets can only be scanned once, so please be sure your ticket will not be used by anyone but you. If you experience any problems with someone you are selling your ticket to or purchasing a ticket from, please contact us at info@imaginariumbookfestival.com and we will do our best to help. To expedite the process, you can send an attachment of screenshots (i.e. proof of payment, proof of no communication, proof of ticket, etc.). We will reach out to both parties to resolve the issue as best as we can. Any and all scammers will be banned from attending future IBF events.
